For clarity sake, Homicide exclude justified and police related correct? Because some posts includes both murders & homicides.

Homicide may include both I guess it depends on the methodology.

When Washington Post did their tally it was all considered criminal homicide.

Methodology
The victims listed here were ruled to have died by criminal homicide. The tally does not include people killed in homicides deemed to be noncriminal, such as justified police shootings or cases of self-defense. Not all victim names could be immediately obtained.

St Louis
Homicides determined to be justifiable are not included in the total count.

Minneapolis had 86 in 2023 not 74 like it says on the Minneapolis crime dashboard. In 2022 there were 83 but they included negligent homicide in 2022 on the same dashboard. In 2023 they didn't include negligent to make it seem like the homicide rate was down but a reporter brought it to the attention of the media. They do typically consider negligent homicide as part of the overall number correct?

Some cities do and some don't which is why murder rate and homicide rate are 2 different things. Negligent is like a hit and run resulting in death or drunk driver.

Default Dfw

That's 1 per day on average for DFW. It looks like the area is down a little from last year.
