As I try and put together a list for Long Island, it gets a lot more challenging, as many of the suburbs I'm familiar with or have heard a lot about, are quite small and sparse. hopefully someone can help fill in the blanks with their favorites on LI, like those that make up the Gold Coast.
For LI North Shore, right off the top of my head I would look at Great Neck, Manhasset and Oyster Bay.
I wanted to do a few more around the metro, like Beverly and Cohasset, but I ran out of steam. A few of the most affluent suburbs, like Dover, Weston, Carlisle, Lincoln, have few streetviews and do them no justice. But, they are absolutely stunning, especially on a drive in the spring and fall.
Wanted to top off this list because a few are driving me mad. The first being one of the most picturesque coastal towns in Greater Boston. The second pair being a quintessential New England town(s) in Boston's further flung suburbs.. Very representative of much of the upper middle class, bucolic towns found north and west of the city with the hills, rock walls, forestation, and orchards. Sprinkled in a few more coastal towns as well.

Thanks!! And I don't blame you, I have a habit of doing too much of a dump in streetview.. I always feel like I'm leaving something out, certainly when trying to display the different regions across a metro.

Right I want to click them all but I have to work and I want to savor it. Those looked amazing though.
You know, one area that didn't make this poll were the Hartford suburbs. Which are hugely underrated and extremely high in demand. Its Boston level suburbs at 1/3-1/2 the price.

I always thought West Hartford would be a really nice place to live. And, nice, historic homes with in-town location can be had for pennies relative to the upscale inner ring suburbs of both Boston and New York.
Not sure why it's not higher on peoples list. I know this... Folks from Greater Boston seem much more likely to head to other parts of New England, than Connecticut. Southern New Hampshire, Portland, Maine, and the Providence metro in particular.

Yeah West Hartford is very nice. The whole Farmington Valley is. Its definitely under the radar for sure.
I feel if more New Englanders knew about CT, they dont, it would be more popular.

+ Springdale (Stamford), Darien, Rowayton (Norwalk), Westport, New Canaan, Wilton, Newtown, Bridgewater, and Fairfield/Southport for CT (so many nice NYC and localized burbs/towns in Western CT/FFC)
