Ohio is a big state, with several very different regions. Which part of Ohio are you referring to? Also are you comparing it to Boston or upstate Mass?
Agree with above, living in one of the three C's will offer the most amenities. Music can vary city to city. . Each area of Ohio will offer a different vibe as well. If you know the area, we can help to give you a better comparison.
I've lived in Columbus, now live in Boston (though never in Worcester). I think Columbus wins on being single, jobs, and music, pretty much hands down.

Well, I'm a Cleveland native, so I would say that Cleveland is my preferred Ohio city. BUT.... Columbus does have a huge population of educated young people, like Boston, and it has had good growth rates economically and in population. There are jobs to be had in Columbus (though some of them seem a bit boring to me, for example, there's tons of insurance and banking stuff around).
I was a single dude in Cbus and found the scene to be better there. Great places for dates- from the million cool restaurants and bars on High Street to the quaint German Village, to the Olentangy Indian Caverns, to a short trip to Hocking Hills, or even to Cleveland or Cincinnati. The music scene was good too, though I guess I should ask about what music speciically you're into... that could change my enthusiastic endorsement.
To be clear, I'm not comparing Columbus to Boston, but to Worcester, where the OP said he lives now.
Move from Worcester into the Boston area...it'll improve your life ten-fold as long as you've got a steady job.
