Seems from this board the 'best' places to live must be out of this country......which shows the sad state of affairs in the US, with taxes, high crime, violent crime, screwed up legal systems, deficits, greed, corruption, gangs, illegal immigration........wow, could go on and on.

No, it's more like there are good and bad parts in pretty much all metropolitan areas across the U.S. It's like a patchwork.
Miami, it's a city where you'll never get what you want, unless you are engaging in criminal activity.
Totally agree I've lived in this city for 10 years and I've never met someone who made their fortune honestly without fraud, cheat or honest conduct. Being a professional in Miami it's not worthy, you'll never be rich here being an efficient and hard worker. Drugs and laundry money made Miami: The city of drugs and fraud
Replying the original post, I must say Miami, rural Orlando, Detroit, St. Louis, Bronx, Compton, New Orleans, the whole state of Arizona, or any rural town with less than 200 people.
