Which city has better climate (weather) overall? Why?

NYC has 234 sunshine days (58% possibility sunshine), Seattle has 164 sunshine days (43% possibility sunshine) annually.

NYC has 132 cloudy days, Seattle has 201 cloudy days annually.

NYC has 121 wet days, Seattle has 150 wet days annually.

not only clouds, rain and sun make the weather good or bad. Temperature, humidity, wind are very important too.

NYC. Wet and mild winters suck individually, let alone grouped as one.

Seattle in the summer time just creams NY in my experience. No humidity trumps everything else. Plus it doesnt get very hot most of the time.

While Seattle has a reputation for clouds, NY has these little irritating rain showers during the day seemingly everyday in summer and plus its so steamy and humid.

Love NY to pieces, but I have to give the weather nod to Seattle.

New York experiences cold unlike Seattle. It rarely snows in Seattle & barely a dusting. Also winters are warmer in the PacificNW. Seattle has lots of cloudy days & drizzle that drive the people crazy [Seasonal Affective Disorder] & a very long cool season. Summer is wonderful in Washington state [probably the best summer weather in the nation].

I lived in New York City & never complained about the weather because humid summers were a lot better than cold winters but it is on the Atlantic Ocean & is less extreme than the Midwest.

My feelings exactly! I need Pacific NW temps in summer.

are you sure you're talking about NY and not Florida? This is not typical NY weather. Humid, yes. Daily showers, absolutely not.

My vote is NY, been to Seattle many times and the cloudiness really gets to you (me).
