I would say it is a race between Washington DC, San Francisco, or Boston. These three have the highest percentage using mass transit after New York City. All three systems feel relatively similar too. I would maybe give Boston and DC an edge over San Francisco because if you need to leave the Bay Area, there isn't a rail system to connect you to other cities as well as the inter-city rail network on the East Coast.

why no San Francisco on the list? I think San Francisco ranks second to NY based on the options available and the ridership.

The "Bay Area" is on there.

Well its not the Saginaw Bay area, its not the Green Bay area, and its probably not the Hudson Bay area, so its probably the San Fransisco Bay Area. LOL

That's where I voted for. After that, probably a toss up between Chicago, Boston, and D.C., and next after the three way tie, Los Angeles.

Who in the hell voted for LA? It's between Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco. Out of those three, it's between Boston and Chicago. SF's bus system sucked. I waited over 30 minutes for a freaking bus there. The BART was nice, though. Not used to cushioned subway seats.
