I figured I would start a new thread on this since the old one I feel does not really include all of the major Rust Belt cities that should be on there. So choose from the poll and explain your choices.

To be honest.. but i never knew what a rust belt was until recently, meaning yesterday.
I voted Albany... but would that be a part of the rust belt??

wouldn't Newark and parts of Staten Island be on there??

I don't like that map of the Rust Belt because it excludes many other manufacturing cities. It needs to be expanded in my opinion. In the Midwest it is definitely not just confined to around the Great Lakes.

For me, it is a tossup between Rochester, Buffalo, Cleveland, Cincy, St Louis and Pittsburgh. I would love to live in any of those cities, although the others are ok too.

Any reason why Duluth was included and not Scranton, even though both cities are roughly the same size, and Scranton's metropolitan area is much larger?

All this rust belt talk lately.....

What are we defining it as? It's not just the Midwest or all the cities within this random border, etc.

Columbus? Indianapolis? Chicago?

I've never heard those places called rust belt.

There are select cities and areas that are rust belt, but certainly the Midwest and this whole region shaded in are NOT all rust belt.

Small farming towns, college towns, larger cities with no manufacturing, suburban areas, etc.
