I'm sorry, I forgot the poll! OOPS! Which city is better in growth, quality of life, retail, jobs, and housing markets? Please post your opinions!

Huntsville, of course. Job market is pretty stable. New shopping center opened last year. There's a pretty impressive line up (for it's size). Not sure about the housing market.

I'd call it a dead heat. However, Greenville has better access to larger cities.

I voted for Huntsville because it is more modern, it has a brighter future, it has an impressive growth, and it is diverse. Oh yeah, Huntsville is going to have the best shopping for a city its size with the Peaks at Southchase, Harris Hill, Waterstone, Bridgestreet, Sweetwater (if built), and more others!

What does "more modern" mean? What does "brighter future" mean? Would you share examples please?

In reply... Greenville is very modern but classy, has a very bright future thanks to solid long-term planning, is continually experiencing impressive growth, is very culturally diverse, and has plenty of quality retail to satisfy any taste.

I know a lot about both cities. Greenville has an edge in cultural amenities, etc. Huntsville has a solid lead in terms of better economy. Overall, they're on par with one another.

That being said, both are pretty great, underappreciated places to live. It would be absurd to say that one is decidedly better than the other.

I voted for Greenville, but I'm biased.

Huntsville has a lot going for it also.

No need to get mad! I see your anger. In my opinion and from what I see in person, Huntsville is more modern with NASA and the space program, is more diverse because of the different nationalities and professionals, and has a brighter future thanks to BRAC, Cummings Research Park, and NASA/space program!

What exactly do you know about Greenville and its local economy? Have you ever been to Greenville?
