Paris all the way

The third biggest city in the U.S compared to one of the most important cities in the world
Chicago is also one of the most important cities in the world. Smart guy. If you actually read through the thread you would see that Chicago had a higher GDP than Paris in 2005.

I've never heard of anybody being kidnapped in the U.S. and sold into sex-slavery, but that's becoming a common occurrence in many of Europe's larger cities. I choose Chi-town.

Paris being dangerous? Not in US standards. Paris and most European cities are much safer than the US.
Slums in Paris compared to South Side Chicago? You are joking, right?

Paris is an elite global city, the capitol of G7 country with a GDP (2007) of $731.3 billion !!!!! The only city in the US with a higher GDP is New York. Chicago simply does not stand a chance and any comparisons are simply absurd. Why do you even post anything if you actually haven't been to both cities and did not do your homework on the internet?

The last really bad riot to even happen in Chicago was after Dr. King was assassinated....and as stated earlier I don't remember anyone being sold into slavery in Chicago lol

I love Chicago, but I'm really surprised it's getting votes here. We're talking about Paris, people! I lived there for six months, and it was wonderful.

Though on my present income and for the sake of my family, I'd rather live in Chicago. It might be cool for my daughter to grow up in Paris speaking French and chomping baguettes, but she'd never know her grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

I think the OP meant Paris France, not Paris Illinois

Anyways, Chicago can be good in the inner loop area, but the west side and uptown are pretty lame

Paris France on the other hand is nicer overall

Chicago...it isn't even a fair comparison to me. In Paris I met nothing but snotty people with condescending attitudes, and it's not any greater of a city than Chicago. Chicago rocks!

Yeah, it's a win/win for me. But Paris has the edge.

I've never been to Paris but European cities just don't seem to have that hardcore urban feel to them...many people are saying Paris just for the sake of its name without even knowing what the city actually offers oppose to the stereotypes you've see on television show all your life...for anyone that has ever been to Paris what is there to do there that entertain after you get pass the fact that its "Paris"....because there are endless amounts of things to do in Chicago
