New York is the most unique city. It's size, public transportation system, arts and culture are unparalled in the US.

Yes I was playing around a little bit , i really think that Miami is ahead of
a lot of cities on the list , but when Oklahoma City built that canal " it became unique"...
I get tired of hearing about the Same Old Same Old
Cities being talked about "that's really boring to me.

Only New York is unique among the giant cities east of the Mississippi. It's truly diverse, has a heavy 24 hour pulse, and is as rich in variety as it is in history. Yes, Chicago, I do deem you to be "fly over country"..a smaller, darker, version of New York without quite as much trash laying around. Take it as a good thing, you have a greatly kept secret there in the midwest (sure you do)

West of the Mississippi, San Fran is very unique as is Seattle. For smaller cities...Santa Fe is very unique.

I have heard Wisconsin Dells is pretty "unique" although I would never live there or even visit.

I disagree with some people saying Seattle, Vancouver BC, and Portland, Oregon are completely similar to each other. They are, but in other ways they are very different from each other. I find all three of them to be very unique, but Portland, Oregon to a slightly lesser extent.
