I love'd all the hills of the city. Many people call LA flat, which couldn't be any further from the truth. LA is filled with little hills everywhere. Even along the expressways. I thought the downtown was lacking a bit for the size of the city, yet it always seemed like there were people everywhere. Some areas you might want to avoid (skid row) but beyond that the downtown was underrated. I like how a lot of clubs and nightspots are fairly low key. You usually can tell where and what they are by the lines of people waiting to get in. I personally am a fan of palm trees. Like one poster said, they do make the sunset.

I guess everyone has their own experience. I personally found the women to be very friendly and helpful in LA. I can't wait to move back. I regret ever leaving, but at the time I really didn't have a choice. And the weather. The weather was absolutely perfect. Hardly rained, never humid, sunny, perfect. Traffic wasn't as bad as people make it out to be either. I would say that the best time to travel was at night. You'll jump from place to place. There are ways of getting around the traffic too. Yeah, obviously mid day rush is bad in certain areas but if you know the area well, you learn where and when to travel. I can't say enough about it. I miss LA so much.

It's funny I had all of these expectations about LA and all of them where exceeded greatly. From the first time I moved to Glendale (which is basically LA) I felt like an odd innate feeling that this was where I was supposed to be. It was the only city besides NYC where I ever truly felt like I was home...I'll never forget that feeling, and apparently I haven't because I am just counting the days before I move back.

Such a great post. I can't wait to get back either.
