New York - grandest example of capitalistic success created by the American melting pot.
D.C. - Of course they would want to see the monuments to our history & collections of our stories.
San Francisco - Another successful diverse city w/ western exposure.
Denver Metro - A shining city against the majestic continental divide.
Memphis / N.O. - World shaking music born in the South and cuisine enfluenced by European and blended cultures.

I've thought about what I'd suggest before. I definitely think car travel is necessary in the US. I'd start in NYC and travel down to DC. Honestly, that's one trip to the U.S. and the top of my list (you can add Boston, but it's a little bit of a longer trip). After that, my top choices are Mami, New Orleans, Chicago, LA and San Francisco in no particular order.

I do think a lot of Europeans don't understand just how big America is. My brother has a good friend from England who wants to see Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans. He wants to do that in a day.

I think that foreign visitors coming to this country would really want to see what America is all about. Therefore, I think that they should get a dose of a couple of major cities, and than experience life is some of this countries great regional cities for real flavor

Yes Nyc and Chicago------but to get a real sample of America, I would suggest Nashville, New Orleans, Sante Fe, Austin, Savannah, Sedonna, ect.....Its great to visit some huge metro areas in this country, to really experience what this nation is really like I suggest some of those cities and many more that I can think of.
