Milwaukee over Dallas?? Maybe I'm delirious, but I have never heard Milwaukee having similar job growth as Dallas or Houston (even though I live in Germany).

They may have to drop Richmond off this list given that Circuit City just abandoned their Chapter 11 efforts to reorganize the company and announced they are shutting down altogether. In total, 34,000 people will be losing their jobs, of which I imagine at least a few thousand are employed at the Richmond headquarters. Sad.

This was posted and discussed on the Pittsburgh forum. These Forbes lists are a joke. All of these cities have rising unemployment at the moment. The only one that's believeable is Madison, WI. More people will probably go back to college to ride out the recession.

Last time I heard, Houston had gained the most jobs in the country. This list is crap.

Not true, at least not anymore. Massachusetts has almost as many people out of work that are working

Here is list, cut and pasted, no edits. Just the truth

Boston, really? I couldn't get a job here if I was a free hooker and I'm attractive (or so I've been told)! LOL! I mean, I tried to get my old job back here and they told me they were full up.

My job back home in Houston is still hiring. Guess everyone's experience is different and it depends on the industry.

Well I guess it is safer now that they caught the craig's list killer. Come back to Houston or even Austin. The most jobs in the nation. Corporate friendly, no income taxes and lower wages. The caveat is that you can buy a 2,000 SQ ft house in a good area for less that 150K. I move down here from Boston 4 years ago ... I will never go back. Are you really good looking? Ahh never mind ...
