Nobody mentioned your name at all, Rachael. Is it too much to ask that you stay out of a discussion among Southerners?

Then tell that to the other northerners. I'm the one who everyone gets on when there's been others.

I don't like black eyed peas, clams, coleslaw, moon pies, seafood (besides shrimp), beans, grits, oysters, macaroni, greens, pig feet, watermelon, peas, gizzards, cobbler, sweat potatoes, fried salmon patties, apple pie, sweet potatoes, gumbo, jambalaya, hominy, chicken dumplings, possums, raccons, vension, liver, livermush, eggplant, cobbler, red-eye, chitterlings, chicken feet, turkey neck, mackarel, wings, chicken fried-stake and BBQ (yes I said BBQ!). I don't even like chicken that much, and the only chicken I really like is Churches LoL, im serious.

Rachael...what you don't understand is that...listen carefully...you are NOT all that important in the whole scheme of things. You seem to always interject yourself into conversations that do not concern you.

All this thread was intended to be was a fun-friendly-natured one... among those of us from a certain part of the country. The South. And poking fun at our ownselves a bit.

Now, will you please just leave? You have no business in it. At least not until you knock on the door and be polite...

^^^ No need to get in a knot.

As a person from the North, I too often wondered about the cuisine of the South. I'm a huge fan of BBQ, and I often wondered what area has the best ribs.

LOL

Hmmmmm. Just as a guess....I would say you are not Southern!

*considers* On a tangent, I should have anticipated when I started this thread that, eventually, the list of personal disliked foods would pile up to the point that many of them would fill a family reunion table with mouth-watering good stuff for others...

It's the Southern way!

Even though I am from NH, I've lived in GA for 19 years so I'll play:

Not a fan of Okra, sweet potatoes (though the pie is ok I guess, even though I prefer Pumpkin), and collard greens.

The worst of all though is Sweet Iced Tea. That stuff is so bad I can't take a tiny sip of it without feeling like I am going to throw up! I literally can't keep the stuff down.

I have to admit that sweet taters have never played a favorite with me either!

Sorry TexReb for derailing your post.............. I asked a sincerely curious question. Rachael ham handedly tried to parley that into a lame joke.
Ignore & proceed.
