Business is very difference on the coasts.

On the east, it's all taking a tried and true idea and having a superior business model for that idea.

The west is less about the business model and more about having an original idea.

In other words, the east is more pragmatic while the west is more experimental.

Just because DC isnt in the stratosphere. Even if SF is on the level of Manhattan, it is the closest thing in the US.....

Hmmm...Interesting, to each their own I guess. I love both cities (I own a place in DC), but I completely disagree, and I think the vast majority of people who have been to both would too.

No doubt, especially Transportation (im guessing you mean Public Transportation?), and Nightlife. However, Weather, Food, Scenery, Vibrancy (IMO), all would go to SF, which are just as important to many people.
