Seattle

I'm actually not surprised our northern neighbor, Vancouver, BC, ranked so high. It is a very nice place to live, if one can afford to do so. Vancouver lacks a robust industry base and office work has been leaving in droves, even during the good times, because of a lack of reasonable business taxes. Businesses are taxed something like 6x what residents are taxed.

Perhaps someone who lives in Vancouver can say where the businesses to support the locals are?

Munich baby!!

I kind of find it somewhat surprising that Minneapolis is more livable than a city like Rome. Not hating it, I like Minneapolis.

Abu Dhabi is not more liveable than Santiago. Puhleeze.

Montevideo and Santiago are way too low. Those cities are wonderful.

No, thank God. Too small to be included on just about any list.

Does YOKOHAMA, Japan count?

And how did Detroit and Baghdad make the top 200?
