All I know is it's a very rural town that's much closer to St. Louis, MO than Chicago, IL.
Wilmington, NC
Neat downtown with riverwalk/historic, close to the ocean, tourism oriented, atrocious job situation where demand for jobs far exceeds supply because everyone wants to live near "the beach" so wages are held very low for the cost of living in the area, transient population (most people are from somewhere else- lots from the Northeast- NY, NJ,PA, etc.) who stay for a year or two and then move on somewhere else.

Beckley, WV
Small WV town that I really don't know much about. I've seen its name on interstate signs driving up that way.
Pretty mountain metro that I've visited once. Really liked it.
Pittsburgh, PA
Beautiful topography (steeps hills, converging rivers etc.), interesting neighborhoods, sports fanatics/strong community spirit, interesting culture, can't seem to figure out how to gain population despite all it has going for it.
Location: northern Vermont - previously NM, WA, & MA

Santa Barbara is the North American Riviera:
-Sandy beaches framed by majestic mountains;
-Palm Trees, red tile roofs and Spanish/Mediterranean architecture;
-Wine tasting, State Street and the historic Santa Barbara Mission;
-Very expensive city with limited industry;
-a Mediterranean climate (but still cooler than most people outside California would expect);
