Never knew if it was actually pronounced "Pear" or "Pare".

Is the gateway to the west in South Dakota. Small state capitol city and pretty isolated for a capitol city. Missouri River provides summer fun on the water.

It's a decent small town, but it will probably grow because it's the state capital.

I'll just go now to keep it going: Pierre has always seemed to me like a pretty mediocre state capital, tiny and not much going on. The natural setting is at least better than much of the state: it's situated on the Missouri River alongside some nice rolling hills, and has at least some trees. The pronunciation is "pier", btw.

Maywood Park, OR

Still a lot of black people there, though lots of Hispanics have moved in like South LA

Speaking of South LA (aka South Central LA), Compton, California.

Black flight central, used to have lots of violent crime during 80s/90s. Also, same as what that user said above.

Franklin, TN
