I would say move to Miami. If you feel you do not fit in in Texas why stay there and make yourself feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. You will have more fun in Miami anyway and you will feel more like at home. Good Luck to you....

You'd probably like Houston more, but if you don't really like Dallas; than just got for Miami.

100K is plenty for MIA. MIA right now has a huge surplus of brand new high rise luxury condos at fire sale prices. IF Miami craziness is what you like, there has rarely been a better time to buy there (assuming your jobs are portable).

The only thing I'll say about Miami is get a job before moving. Moving to Miami without a good job lined up right now is like suicide. The rest of the country isn't much better, but if you have a job already in Dallas I'd stay put.

One thing you would have to get used to in Texas is that there are few Puerto Ricans (anywhere), but tons of Latinos. Puerto Ricans prefer Miami, NYC, Philly, and Chicago. If you want to be a place where you are surrounded by Puerto Ricans, then move. Bear in mind however that the economy is way better in Dallas than any of the cities I mentioned above.
