I despise large cities. So no I have nothing against small places...and I left one of the largest cities in the US and moved to a small town close by.

What do you despise about large cities?

Since you are in SC... what exact city is one of the largest... I can't think of anything around there that I'd consider a BIG city.

It depends on how small the towns the "small towns" you refer to are. Towns with say 5,000 to 20,000-25,000 people are often pretty good, if they are towns that were laid out prior to World War II and haven't been hit super-hard by the decline in manufacturing over the last 3-5 decades. Towns smaller than 5,000 people can be alright too, but are usually too small to have a decent number of amenities. Places larger than 20,000-25,000 people are usually more like small cities, which usually are pretty good too.

The kinds of places I can't stand are places where you can't walk to any amenities, like a convenience store.
