Since the OP provided the statistics, how on earth are we supposed to "vote" on facts? Since South Lake has a median household income of $172,945 doesn't that make it the wealthiest suburb among the three choices? Or are we supposed to refute the statistics that the OP provided?
Is Sandy Springs really the wealthiest suburb of Atlanta?
According to bizjournals.com the Sandy Springs ZIP code (30327) in 2009 is the wealthiest in the Atlanta metro with an average household income of $194,187, average net worth of $1,656,928, and average home value of $722,137.

I only live about 4 miles from Sandy Springs. When I saw kdogg817's figure, I thought to myself that something smelled fishy about those stats.
I was under the impression that the weathiest suburb of Atlanta was John's Creek, considering it is the weathiest city in the state of Georgia (http://www.johnscreekpost.com/?Codx=9440)!
Sandy Springs is the most centrally located of the three. To tell you the truth, the better comparisons for Sandy Springs would be West Memorial in Houston and the Preston Hollow area of Dallas.
The western and northeastern portions of Sandy Springs are extremely affluent, so I'm not surprised by the Bizjournal's data.
I've driven through South Lake, but that was it. The Woodlands is really nice, but too far out and not too diverse.
I though Bellaire or West University was Houston most wealthiest suburbs.
