If you like gun laws and smoking bans so much, then you're already home - California.

I personally prefer Florida's laws. And the reason we have a higher homicide rate is we have more blacks and you have more asians. Idaho has more guns, and less homicides than California because they have less blacks and more whites than you. Now that's the elephant in the room, but I'm not PC enough to tip toe around it.
ugh....

Florida: 2,999,862 AA's

California: 2,299,072 AA's

Idaho: 9,810 AA's.

You're also a poorer state with a worse economy. That usually leads to more violence .

No, your argument does not hold water.

Look at the homicide rates for Florida and California in 1990. California had a higher homicide rate in Florida in 1990, yet its black population was only 7.0% of the state's population while Florida's black population was nearly double that (approx. 13.5%).

As for the Idaho reference, that is not a good comparison. Any credible criminologist will tell you comparing highly urbanized states to very rural ones is misleading and not appropriate.

Oh yes it does. 10.7 versus 11.9 for 1 year is what can be considered a on par homicide rate.

Mississippi is a highly rural state, with a high homicide rate. Again because of the AA percentage.

I'm sorry but you lose.

As a Black female, I must say, this is one of the most horrible things I've read on here. What a terrible thing to say. You should be ashamed.
