So true. Only a few "minor" additions in downtown Denver since '85. Let's see:

Since 2005:

Four Seasons Hotel (nearly completed) 45 Floors

Spire (nearly completed) 42 Floors

Hyatt Regency 37 Floors

One Lincoln Center (just completed) 32 Floors

Glass House 2-23 story towers

1800 Larimer (nearly completed) 22 Floors

lots of 10-15 story infill......Yup, nothing goin on

I don't think he is wrong. The ones you listed are still under construction and apart from these, all the tallest buildings in Denver are built before 1985. Let's take a look. List of tallest buildings in Denver - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

From 1985 to 2005, there are "zero" buildings over 107m added to the Denver skyline. Gladly Denver will look better with the new buildings when they are completed.

You sure about that?

LOL.

And, yes, I've been to MSP multiple times. It's beautiful there, but come on!

Minneapolis easily and I moved to the Twin Cities from Denver. Seriously, without the mountain backdrop, Denver doesn't look impressive at all.

I would have thought it would be a closer fight. However, in the end I do think that Minneapolis has the better skyline, but Denver's has gotten some good recent additions. In the future I could see Denver pulling ahead of Minneapolis, but for now, I have to say Minneapolis has the better skyline, but not by a ton.

I for one have lived in both cities.. i was born and lived in minneapolis most of my life and i have spent many of my days strolling through nicollet mall.. and no matter where you look at the MPLS skyline your gonna get a totally different view of the city.. from the east its exceptionally large, from the west you dont catch the gleam off the cappela tower but a stair like affect, from the south you get a large picture of the city, and a view from the North is the most intimidating. ive spent the past 3 years in denver and i feel the minneapolis skyline is much more intricate, just one drive downtown will leave you speechless.. my favorite tower in minneapolis is the At&t tower, the design is incredible although not one of the tallest buildings in MPLS it is the most attractive.. My favorite building in Denver is definetly the wells fargo building.. but I got MPLS all the way

Is that right? I don't find that to be true at all.

I don't see how Minneapolis is so much better than this though.
