Are you serious?

Philadelphia metro is made up of 10 counties, 7 of which are among the top 100 wealthiest in the usa. Wealthy people and entertainment go hand in hand something that a Jacksonvillian would know very little about. Take it down the street kid.

"Philadelphia emerged as the No. 4 market in the country early on," says Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar, which monitors the concert industry. "Everybody plays New York, L.A., and Chicago, and everybody plays Philadelphia, too. You can't say that about D.C. or San Francisco."
"Pearl Jam doesnt play 4 shows in just any city it takes a special place."

Philadelphia is really fairly good for the arts and music according to people I've talked with online who'd be in a position to know.

Forbes' lists are criticized, but this one seems to have a fairly decent basis. Granted that might actually be a problem for them. Objective statistics might not give you a real sense of the place. Also people here I think often want lists to support their own preconceived ideas and "objective" lists are probably less likely to do that. A poll of Americans in metropolitan-areas north of 37 degrees North latitude, on what they deem entertaining or best or whatever, might be the best kind of "city lists" for this group.
