I rather live in the Virginia Beach-Norfolk area.

Because it's closer to the North, we know.

Just for the sake of argument, I'll give you Charlotte, Raleigh, and Greensboro as "boring, bland, and sprawling." But certainly you can't apply the "boring" and "bland" labels to Asheville, Wilmington, Winston-Salem, the Outer Banks, etc. And while NoVA and VA Beach have their good points, they've got tons of sprawl.

Raleigh area offers too much at this moment. The jobs, education centers and I'm sure the quality of life is better. I have lived in the seven cities before and it was ok but nothing special like cityboi is hyping it up to be.

I will go with the Hampton Roads area over the Triangle. However, I would only live in Chesapeake or Hampton. I love Norfolk but I would have to make tons of money so I could afford a nice and safe place to live there. Virginia Beach is the boringest city to me to be a city of 400k plus people. That may offend some people but it is my opinion.

NC does not have have boring and bland cities. Whoever said such things has not been down to any of the cities in a while.

Although Asheville and Wilmington are noteworthy, they are too isolated from the majority of state's population for my tastes.

That doesn't mean that you've experienced cities in N.C. other than wherever it is that you live. Both states have an abundance of cities and towns that are beautiful, interesting and historical.
