Since certain people only seem to associate beauty with nature I thought I would single out a thread for just urban beauty. Pick an option from the poll or say one of your own if it's not there.

Probably Chicago or DC for me. NYC, SF and Boston would follow those.

My vote goes to Los Angeles. Mountains and coast do it for me.

Seattle is elegant but well built. Very clean, with old historic buildings mixed with new architecture and of course the waterfront.

Los Angeles. The natural landscape combined with the large urbanity makes for a perfect combo. One cannot exist with out the other.

The next city is NYC. It's just the gold standard of urbanity.

I picked Los Angeles for several reasons. I think the layout of being sprawled out, yet dense is kind of cool. There is so much variation too. You have mountains right smack in the center of the city and then you have regions of high rise buildings, mid-level, and ones that are just one or two stories. Also, looking out from Griffith Observatory at night gives unparalleled views of the street grid. And then you throw the ocean in there and bam what a beautiful city.

I picked Chicago for it iconic architecture and nicely spaced out urban canyon. Lakeshore Drive is my favorite urban drive in the country. I even made a thread about it: Lakeshore Drive
