According to American Factfinder (a part of the Census), that number is 44k as of 2014 (the Atlanta CSA).
Yeah I had figured it may have been wrong which is the reason I stated where I got it, was just a lazy attempt at making a point, as I had a good feeling he was comparing CSA for one but not the other.

Ethnic food in CA is divine. What passes as "California cuisine" is a bit dorky though.
Even with all those states combined I still don't think it beats California. And they are certainly not "much, much better" by any stretch. The cuisine of California is far more varied than what you would describe as "California Cuisine":

.
Ehhh...gonna go with no.

You only have two pockets of good ethnic food in that entire space (Gwinnett County and NOVA) and Gwinnett doesnt come close to the breadth of ethnic food available in LA or the Bay Area. NOVA is a lot closer.

Yeah its weird not including FL for that combo. Replace any one of those with FL and then you can most likely beat California.

For Southern food and BBQ, Georgia. For Asian, Mexican and all others, California!

Savannah does really well in southern cooking, but that's about it. California easily. For Georgia to be able to win this, Atlanta would have to be a top 5 foodie city and it doesn't come close.

Georgia isn't noted for BBQ like our neighbors in the Carolinas. There are many good southern comfort food choices here though.

California kills it in this matchup. LA alone beats Georgia.

How so? I'm genuinely curious why you think throwing Florida in would make such a huge difference.

Florida to The Carolinas gives it some great options from Soul, Southern, Hispanic, to even Italian given all the New York transplants. Not to mention seafood.

If I'm recalling your posting history correctly, I'm genuinely NOT curious as to why you are.
