Everyone has their own reasons for loving a town. This thread is to highlight the 3 favorite suburbs of your metropolitan area and any others you may have enough knowledge about to rate their suburbs. I personally rate my choices based on aesthetics, safety and amenities. I have visited and lived in many different metros and have quite a few I feel I can chime in on.

A shame. Aren't you from Frederick? If it weren't so 'exurban', I would have voted for it.
I don't live there anymore (lord let me move back!!) but it is a really pretty city with the disguising tract housing in the surroundings. Its a wonder that some farms still exist around Frederick city. It really does have a gorgeous downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, as well as nice newer homes north of Frederick, but the rest of the surroundings is spawlsville. Luckily there's the mountain to have nearby nature and to stop growth, otherwise middletown and Frederick would be one big sprawl fest
Rockville is in another league though - at least Frederick is defined by its historic architecture!
Palo Alto and Mountain View may not technically be in the metro, but c'mon!!! You know damn well that it is part of metro SF and the bay area!
I damn well don't.
