I don't live there anymore (lord let me move back!!) but it is a really pretty city with the disguising tract housing in the surroundings. Its a wonder that some farms still exist around Frederick city. It really does have a gorgeous downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, as well as nice newer homes north of Frederick, but the rest of the surroundings is spawlsville. Luckily there's the mountain to have nearby nature and to stop growth, otherwise middletown and Frederick would be one big sprawl fest

Rockville is in another league though - at least Frederick is defined by its historic architecture!
