Good:
sports town culture, low cost of living, traffic(unless you're coming in from the east), many universities, lots of bars to choose from, generally safe city
Bad:
confusing road system, distance from airport to downtown
Good: Beautiful weather, beautiful women, diversity, optimistic and entrepreneurial population, great museums and concert venues, amazing food scene - especially for ethnic food, nice beaches, great natural surroundings
Bad: Smog, (yes, it is annoying when you can't see the mountains in the distance because the air is grey), economy, traffic
Ugly: Anti-business climate, ridiculously high cost of living, huge poor population (including illegal immigrants), fleeing middle class, inability to attract educated workforce
