Huh? How are you ranking these? If it's by technical size, you're wrong...if it's by economy, you're wrong...if it's by importance, you're wrong. What's your criteria?

No, let's get this straight real quick. LA is so far behind NY it's comical.

LA is slightly below Chicago.
Well, I won't argue the point further. I showed you three rankings, actually, without even getting into the economic output and power of LA (third largest economic center in the world, mind you, behind only Tokyo and NYC). The information speaks for itself. I'm done.

BTW, this thread isn't about LA vs. NYC and Chicago, so I don't know why you're turning it into a discussion about them. You're the only one that seems to have a problem with this.

Yes but that excludes any politcal influence and power - but yes on a single parameter

but honestly comparing the the Houston MSA include vastly more area - so is likely not an apples to apples comparator

This pretty much hits the mark, though I might rank Philadelphia and DFW above Houston.

Oh, let me guess.

Probably because you said LA is more important than Chicago in your opening post.

Ummmm, no it is not.

You posted a link, which proved LA is less important than Chicago, brilliant.
