Hmmmmm, Oakland in someone's top 10. I may have to argue that one.
Well, I haven't been many places, but I'll give it a shot. I have primarily traveled in the west. These are in no particular order:
1. Chico, CA
2. Auburn, CA
3. Nevada City, CA
4. Mendocino, CA
5. Paulsbo, WA
6. Cannon Beach, OR
7. Jerome, AZ
8. Greer, AZ
9. Lake Tahoe, NV or CA side
10. Georgetown, CA
I guess I based my opinion on the overall feel of the city, most of which have a quaint feeling to them and are relatively small (Chico does get a school-year boom in population). I generally prefer mountain regions, but I threw an ocean town or two in there for good measure.

Who said anything about fun? The poll was done on a city's population style in terms of fashion and aura!
