based on personal preference and cities that actually CATER to cool people. not boring people who buy at abercrombie, shopping malls and eat at fuddruckers or applebees. these are also cities that i feel really have a very cult following of some sort like if you knew something about it, you're like exclusive at this point.

1. nyc
2. los angeles (i still haven't figured why people don't like this city and why it gets trash-talked as much as it does)
3. austin (yes mother effers, austin. the city isn't a city per se in the traditional sense but it is vibrant, has everything you need, its laid back and easy to find very likable, enjoyable, creative and beautiful people. and also because its what i call my home.)
4. san francisco (because i live here and i like it. that makes it cool.)
5. seattle
6. detroit (yes, people are leaving blah, blah, blah... but when that happens it brings in creative types flocking to the city to work on their arts and whatnot... and that's cool.)
7. houston (if you can't understand not one bit why houston is cool, it's because you're not cool. it gave birth to Wes Anderson and he's also cool.)
8. portland
9. new orleans
10. oakland/berkeley

other cities that i feel deserve being mentioned are atlanta, dc, chicago, philly, el paso (yup! lots of cool mexican cats moving from juarez are making it a cool vibrant hub....... for exclusive people like me only know about ), rhode island, and minneapolis.
