^The OP wanted houses within the city limits, not mansions in the suburbs. St. Louis has some really nice, huge houses in the suburbs and I would have posted pics of them, but this is about the actual city.

I like the poster that showed the average home in New Canaan, CT by linking a famous picture of Philip Johnson's Glass House. Which of course much like New York's Seagram building and almost all other buildings comes out of Chicago architecture. In this particular case Mies Van Der Rohe and his famous Farnsworth House.

lol yeah their referred to as gangways. Ussually people just chill in them esp if they live in an apartment. There are neighborhoods with row homes though like lincoln park, pullman, "bronzeville" and woodlawn.

Im a sucker for urban architecture so id say new york, philly, boston, chicago,d.c. baltimore ect.
