I'm pretty sure NY has been famous for a long time now. I'm not sure how they could sell their soul for any more of it.

Not to make it sound racist, but it really comes down to a black vs. white thing....most black people would say pre-Giuliani, most white people would say post-Giuliani. If you ask a black person what they think it would be that he was too strict, if you ask a white person what they think they would say he cleaned the city up. Just keeping it real.

Are whites and blacks the only races that occupy the land of New York City?

If so, who did you poll to come to the conclusion that most blacks prefer pre-Giuliani and most whites prefer post-Giuliani?

Don't you live in Philly?

BTW, this coming from a poster who knew absolutely nothing about Juneteenth but pretended he did. Maybe you should learn to "stay in your lane".

I find it hard to like a guy who only cared about the wealthy.

I was just picking one race, I could've said minorities, but I decided to say black since if you think about it black people had the most problems with Giuliani. I never actually picked a side, I just stated how I would see it from both sides. If I was a "minority" I wouldn't have liked him because of what BPerone201 said, he only cared about the wealthy. If I was a rich white person then I would've liked him.

i still think its "old" nyers vs. transplants (for the most part). or maybe even a class thing...

ny's soul is LOST IMHO. the essence, soul, character, etc. are pretty much gone. i am black tho, if it matters, but i don't think that it has anything to do with it. i know a lot of white ppl that prefer nyc before giuliani than after.

Post-Giuliani. I tend to like a city with less crime, drugs, garbage and street porn. Why doesn't he come to DC and clean it up likewise?

Sorry, but this really isn't an appropriate topic for city-vs-city as it focuses on only one city, and, you're comparing pre and post politics.
