^^^An official Little Mexico doesnt exist in DFW. It doesnt really need to. The are more Mexicans than any other race in Dallas and Hispanics are almost 1/3 of the population of DFW.
DFW has tons upon tons of Mexican/Hispanic neighborhoods, but no official Little Mexico. Mexicans are not confined to one area of DFW.
To answer your question Lifeshadower, Houston and Dallas were historically white cities. However, Houston did a much better job of attracting Hispanics alot sooner than Dallas. However, DFW exploded with them about 25 years ago and its been getting even more since then.

No, Houston is just closer to the border. It makes sense for areas like Houston and San Antonio to have large Mexican populations.

Then why would it make sense for a place like the Bay Area if its over 500 miles from the border?
The "border" argument can only go so far in explaining the Hispanic influences in any of these cities. Places like the Bay Area/Northern California and Southern Colorado aren't anywhere NEAR the Mexican border but they still retain a certain Latin ethos about them.

Then explain why Chicago has a larger Mexican population than anywhere in Texas. Also explain why DFW has the largest foreign born Mexican population in the state. Even now when people cross the border from Central America and Mexico, they dont stay there. They go to places like LA, The Bay, Houston, DFW, Chicago, Miami, and New York. Why do you think LA has way more Hispanics than San Diego even though San Diego is right on the border?
It really does look like all 3 are pretty much in parity when it comes to the Latino population (however, Chicago DOES have the most and DFW DOES have the highest percentage, but the Bay Area has the most different types in terms of percentage).
