Barely ahead, despite Tokyo's much larger population.

New York = $1.460 Trillion (pop 22,085,649)
Greater Tokyo = $1.479 trillion (pop 34,607,069)

In any case, New York is the vastly more powerful and wealthy city.

Not really sure where you are getting this from, perhaps from your ass?
From roof to roof the Sears Tower (Willis) has always been taller than the World trade center.

34,600,000 in 5,300 square and 32,500,000 are in 1500 square mile is far more dense then newyorks 22,000,000 in 12,000 square miles. tokyo is in a league of its own when it comes to extreme density over an area well over 1000 square miles.

So Tokyo is a better city than New York simply because they have lots of poors breathing on top of each other?

So Delhi, India must be better than New York too, right? After all, its far more dense than New York (and Tokyo)

Speak for yourself.
Nope. I'll speak for the travel and global perception surveys in which Tokyo is always noticeably absent.

Again, nobody cares about Tokyo sorry.

No point in arguing with an NY booster who wouldn't like any city outside of the limits of his own.

So why doesn't the general public care about Tokyo? Any insight you would like to share with me? I'm actually slightly curious..

Nevermind, I've lost interest.
