hmm...seems far from "scarves and gloves" weather to me... and quite a diversified-non humid summer plethora all within decent distance from each other...
unlike that hot muggy nastiness that persists throught the midwest/east/south ...no microclimates must suck... must be BORING with taht same weather alllll summer lol
Eh, as it was said before the weather doesn't really factor into our attitudes when it comes to sports...so your point doesn't really hold. Try again.

I believe that it must be because people in these cities are so accustomed to seeing their teams win that eventually the winning becomes a mindset even for them. Especially the sports teams in NY and Boston have so much history and success. It is interesting that one of the people before me mentioned the weather in that part of the country as being a factor contributing to the nastiness of the fans. It very well could be a factor. I do not follow or support any of the Boston area teams and I especially don't like the Celtics and I was so happy when the Boston Bruins choked against Philadelphia in the NHL playoffs haha! Chokers!!! It has been since 1972 that the Bruins have won 0 Stanley Cups. That's big because Boston is one of the original 6 NHL teams if I am not mistaken. A team with THAT kind of history to have 0 championships in 38 years... now that's something. And who can forget what happened to the Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years ago. They were expected to win but got beat by the NY Giants. Amazing. It makes me feel that much better to not be near those obnoxious fans in Boston who threw rocks at the Lakers team bus after the 2008 NBA Finals. Yes, that did in fact occur. I am so glad the Red Sox got beat by the Rays in 2008
