Hey I'm a sophomore in college transferring to FAMU next month and I'm moving from South Carolina. I'm a workaholic so I dont like to be anywhere without a job for too long because I like making money. I was just wondering if anybody knew any part-time jobs hiring in the area. Preferably in the customer service/light custodial area, but my mind's open to everything (except food! I worked at Mickey D's as a freshman in high school and I'm scarred for life.) I'm not from the Tally area so I need some insight. Thanks.
There should be some part-time retail jobs opening up in August in areas where students returning to town will be shopping again. High end stores will probably not be hiring as customers having been trading down to lower end discount stores. The lower end and discount stores would probably have to hire some people. FAMU might have some part time jobs or you might be able to work as a student tutor on your own. The economy in Tallahassee is fairly weak, though there probably are some opportunities if you are creative.
