I spent the 4th in Cleveland. Wanted to post my opinion. I was born and raised there. Left and have moved back several times. Was back for 4 days. I remember when one of the news papers called it "the best location in the nation."
What I saw this time was a lot of beauty. I was not in downtown, but on the west side. The area was beautiful, green and very pretty. The people are home to me...warm, friendly, accommodating. they extend themselves. The only negative was the people who felt Cleveland wasn't enough, that there wasn't anything there. Huh???? I think they just don't realize what they have and that the grass is not greener on the other side.
I have a friend who recently moved there from Texas. They think Cleveland is one of the best kept secrets in our country and they have lived everywhere.
Was so good to be home.

Thanks for the post!

I'm glad you had a great weekend.

The fireworks this year in the Flats were better than previous years too.

Completely agree. Watched them from Shooters this year and was very impressed. Getting out of the Flats was a PITA though!

Unfortunately there are people here who are overly negative. I think a lot has to do with the local media constantly blaring the demise of cleveland for the past few decades. Its getting very old.
