It's the number 1 radio show in Cleveland and the only Cleveland radio show that is syndicated. Any thoughts on it?

Personally, I don't like it. There are some segments that i enjoyed but nothing that i'd wanna listen to often. I'm not sure it's number one. It probably depends on the demo number that you're looking at.

And it's not really syndicated anymore. There's one station in Rochester,NY that carries it. All the other stations have dropped it over the years.

It was on in Chicago for a while and it bombed. Outside of the great lakes region I don't know how anyone could handle the accents on that show.

It's terrible. I have to imagine that the IQ of the average listener of the show is well below 70.

It's largely crap. The Triv Show isn't much better.

Yeah the people who like Rover are the same people who liked Howard Stern. It's juvenile humor at best. Lanigan and Malone, and Maxwell are way better morning shows in my opinion.

I know there's a market for the kind of show he does but I can't say I'm a fan. Maxwell just got picked up by 98.5 a few months ago and I thought he would be similar to Rover but Maxwell isn't too bad and I don't mind listening. As far as syndicated hosts from Cleveland, when Jim Rome can't do his show from 12-3 for ESPN Tony Rizzo and The Really Big Show cast fills in. I enjoy listening to them talking about Cleveland sports and it seems that their show is very popular.

WMFS dropped them in 2009. That station is now ESPN Radio. WZNE in Rochester is now it for Rover.

The only time that the show was widely distributed was when they moved to Chicago and CBS used Rover as one of their Howard Stern replacements. That's how the show aired in Rochester in the first place. CBS put Rover on 7 stations when they moved him to Chicago. One year later, CBS killed that plan and Rover was back in Cleveland with only the Rochester and Memphis stations left. The show made a brief return to Columbus last year, but was yanked off the air quickly. Bottom line, Rover flopped when he was syndicated to other markets.
