Can anyone recommend a trustworthy mechanic that can work on a 2002 Ford? Ideally west side. Thanks.

What about southwest suburbs?
I used to always take my car to Dejan's (12950 Albion Rd, North Royalton right on the border with Strongsville -- 440-237-3311). The guys there are kind of weird to converse with, but they do good work for a good price, and they're always up front about what you actually NEED vs. what they think you should get (and how long it'll all take).

Rick Yusi Automotive in Strongsville is also a great place to go -- 8753 Pearl Road, in front of Walmart, (440) 884-8713. Might be a little more expensive, though.

I'm at a loss if you're looking for something in the city or inner-ring west suburbs.

You can try Cappiccioni's on W 140th and Lakewood Heights Blvd. They're on the westside in a Marathon gas station on the Lakewood/Cleveland border and I've always gotten good, straight-foward service with them.

Either one--city or suburbs...
