Are you one of those people that just HAS to find something to complain about?

It's probably done on purpose. Like a "soft opening". Open at noon on a Saturday and a half a million people show up or more. Open at 9:30 pm and only 50,000 show up. Good idea.
It's not like it's just a new restaurant....
i find it funny is all. didn't realize i was complaining. if people want to stand in line for 10 hours to go in there and lose their money, then surely i can say they're pretty silly.

i forgot any somewhat negative words about cleveland out of my mouth is complaining. because questioning what your city is doing means you hate the place (fyi, it does not) but blindly following everything that gets put out there and believing it's the next big thing means you love it, right?

so you really think a "hard" opening would attract a crowd similar to the size of st. pats? right.

Several thousand, if not ten thousand and probably more. What's wrong with setting guidelines for when people can line up? People camp out to buy stuffed toy dolls and to save $10 on an iPod. Is it really that hard for you to believe that people would want to be involed in something this exclusive?

The "hype" is what makes the world go 'round. Some people have been waiting as much as 25 years for this to happen. My guess is that they will be the ones down there waiting in line to get in. I know I certainly won't.

I'm not sure what the argument is about when it opens. The casino is having a soft opening. On May 10, invited guests will be allowed in to play and eat. It then opens to the public May 14. It makes more sense to open in the evening for a good reason - they don't want people lined up all night long. There's gonna be a line regardless. For everyone's safety, its better to hand out bracelets and such during the daylight hours. Pretty much every casino opens in the evening for this very reason. It helps limit the visitors and the chaos.

It sounds like complaining to me. My apologies if that was just making an observation. Re-reading it, it still seems just plain bitchy to me. What does it matter when it opens? Especially when you don't intend to GO the day it opens?
I could totally get being annoyed about it if you wanted to be one of the first ones in. But you're not going??

OK that is blatantly not true. About me, anyway. Complain away. Heck I have a few complains myself. I am just tried of STUPID complaints, in general. One of my favorites: "OMG IT'S SO F-- COLD!!!"
It's December in Cleveland. So, yea I will go off on people that post that crap.

I do apologize. Sincerely. I'm sorry I was rude.

You have to admit there are some nimrods on this site that complain about the dumbest things. You spend ANY time here, you know this. That's what makes some of us a bit defensive. Dumb complaints. Not any. We know the CLE is NOT perfect.

Can you imagine the hype in Chicago if it were opening a downtown casino?

There is also no game in town on that night. That's likely planned as well.

New major openings get hyped an people want to be a part of it. So, what's new? I drove by the new Chik-Fil-A when it opened a few months ago in Strongsville... they had people directing traffic in and out of it -- It's a friggin Chik-Fil-A, peeps!!! But, that's just how some people are.
