Looking for apartment recommendations or areas to live. I apologize for being so repetitive but my situation is a little different. I am in my early 20's, M, W and have a secure job. I want to come home to a nice place and good people; full amenities would be nice. Really open to anything and was looking for recommendations. I will be working near tower city I believe. Where do young people hang out? What is there to do in Cleveland? If I like to go out at night, is there a particular area I should be looking at? Is my budget appropriate, $2200, what can I get for my money?

I'd check out this place (I hear Johnny Manziel has an apartment here):

I second "The Nine" as well. Probably the best new Downtown apartment. I was in Cleveland this past weekend and I checked out The Vault bar in the basement...crazy busy with lots of young people (it's literally an old bank vault).

Also complex will be a rooftop floor (10th floor) and a full service grocery store (1st floor) opening early 2015.

First look at The 9 project in downtown Cleveland, where Ameritrust redo is nearly done (gallery) | cleveland.com

Your walk to Tower City would be 3-4 blocks.

I would also add the residences at Hanna, Statler Arms and the Bingham, though I know there are often wait lists. You could also look at Lakewood. For 2200/month, you can get quite a bit in Cleveland. Downtown rents are expensive (though for you, affordable) while rent in Lakewood is 500-1000/month.

I looked at a demo at The 9 a few weeks ago. You could do far worse and $2200 will get you anything they offer in a "boutique suite." The 2BR, 2 bath, ~1,000 sq. ft. unit I looked at was in the area of $1650/mo. It was very nice.

Lakewood would be a great option to allow a lot of saving plus still be close and be able to go out. University Circle/Little Italy as well.

But The 9...Residences at Hanna...Residences at 1717 are all great places to check out.

More than just "fixed up"...arguably the top hotel, housing, and new bar(s) in Cleveland. Not to mention the upscale Heinen's full grocery store coming soon.

Speaking of "the Vault"
