I currently am living in canton but would like to move towards the Cleveland area. I'm young (23) so I'm still looking for somewhere that is fun and has a younger crowd but also not looking to move downtown Cleveland. I've been checking out the Lakewood area but not familiar with much else up there. Need ideas of other areas around Cleveland that are decently affordable with a good amount of jobs.

Consider the Coventry area in Cleveland Heights, proximity to University Circle and all the job offerings there. Coventry is reasonably affordable and there is a wide range of apartment prices. Good luck.

Yeah, I would agree that Coventry & Lakewood are good bets. Maybe around Cedar-Fairmount or Cedar-Lee in Cleveland Heights, too.

If you don't consider those areas "decently affordable", then possibly near the Waterloo Arts District in North Collinwood.

"decently affordable" is going to be different for a 23 year old making $95,000 a year and for a 23 year old making $25,000 a year. How much money can you (or want to) spend on your rent p per month?

I know there's a lot to do in the downtown area and in Lakewood. But more affordable areas to live would include: Parma, Old Brooklyn, Garfield Heights and the Westpark area. You can definitely find a 1 or 2 bedroom to rent for around $600-800 or you could find a studio for much less.
