A landlord renting to someone w/out a lease would have no legal repercussions if something happened to their property. I just don't know why they would do it

because i don't have a steady job, so that's allready not an option for me. don't want to get kicked out after not being able to pay a month and then having to pay the rest of the months on the contract too... so that's why i am trying to find a month to month actually just with no lease.
