for seafood, i've had good luck with harris teeter in monkey junction carrying great carolina shrimp - often 4.99/5.99 a pound with heads and tails/nice large size - even got it for NINETY-NINE cents a pound one day when they were overstocked.....heaven on earth!! north carolina shrimp is sweet!
For a taste treat, go to Michaels on the main drag and get the chowder - internationally or at least nationally-noted and it is really good - chock full of seafood and i believe they are also now selling it at harris teeter.....
just for the record, my name is neither harris nor teeter, LOL......
carolina beach is a nice place.....and as a bit of a monkey, i do love any place with a name like Monkey Junction......
