Wilmington hotel recommendations (refrigerator, luxury, college)

I'm looking for suggestions on a decent place to stay for a few days to check out UNCW and the area. Not looking for a luxury vacation hotel, just something clean, in an convenient location. I will have two children under 5 with me, so maybe someplace that has kitchenettes?. It will be in September/October that I will be coming, if that makes a difference. Just need some place to sleep and shower.

We used to stay at the quality inn on Market Street -- I saw a sign out front it was under $60 a night. If I remember right there was a little refrigerator and a microwave. Definitely really basic and convenient.

We have often taken our family to the Holiday Inn Express on Van Campen-off College road behind Jeff Gordon Chev., it is basically across the road from UNCW. We liked it because it was a reasonable price, and it had a large pool. There are plenty of places to eat right around it too.
