I'd bet Greenville is among league leaders in "suspicious activity."
BINGO... give Phil a cigar!
A prime example is yesterday's "raid" on a "drug deal gone bad". Nearly 40 police officers were sent to the scene of this crime, spending God knows how many man-hours and taxpayer's dollars.
The yield? Zero arrests. I bet this entire event doesn't even get added to our crime statistics. I feel much safer, don't you?
Hell, they didn't even recover the drugs so how do they know this was a drug deal (beyond hearsay)? The Daily Reflector
Yep, gotta love Gville where political correctness is the only law that matters.
Last summer I (and two other seperate individuals) witnessed a man beating up his girlfriend/wife as they walked alongside Allen Rd. All 3 of us called 911 two times. It took the police 25 minutes to get there, despite the other two witnesses having had seen the man punch the woman twice and push her out in front of two oncoming cars. One officer took down the other two witnesses names, but declined to take mine, as if he had enough witnesses and didn't need anymore. I checked the 911 call log a couple days later and learned no arrest had been made. The resolution to the situation was listed as "escort." I suppose the officers decided to give the couple a ride home so the angry young man could kill his loved one in private.
Le roi - it's not always racially connected up north. But, safer and less safe neighborhoods are just more clearly defined, it seems, with more real estate between the two. In this area, they seem to be more blended and harder to identify...this makes this a more dangerous area to navigate.
What is a buffer zone? Is that like a riparian buffer, Or was that one of those northern racial segregation things?
The latter.
Heaven forbid I see someone not of my socioeconomic background in my daily travels. Why, I might get the vapors and faint right there on the spot!

This is all a not-so-clever way of saying a particular thing, and the problem with saying that particular thing in this context is people who aren't the subject of that particular thing often live in conditions somewhat similar to the subjects of said particular thing. The logical conclusion then might be to rethink the logic behind that particular thing and perhaps come to a new understanding of the world.

And the realization that the whole world isn't exactly as it is up north. But the same could be said for people that are from here. Just because that's the way you've always done it doesn't make it right.
