Hey,
I'm going to be moving to Wilmington soon and I'm looking for the best deal on a 2br/2ba apartment. I've been looking into good elementary schools because my daughter will be starting the second grade. My top picks are College park elementary, Dr John Codington elementary, or Hubert Eaton elementary.. I will also be starting school at CFCC and want the apartment to be somewhat close to the college as well. If you have any suggestions on where would be a good place for us to live, in one of those elementary schools radius, I would greatly appreciate it!!! If you have anything you can share about the area, like what locals do around there for fun, I would appreciate that as well!!! Thanks so much for your help..

I just want to encourage you to find a good school for your daughter. I didn't think it was too important when we moved here and BOY was I wrong. Eaton is a great school, it has a year round schedule...I'm not sure about the others. I have heard good things about Codington and also Parsley. CFCC is all the way downtown, so you probably won't find anything to rent near that area that will be in any of those school districts. Eaton is all the way up in Ogden which is about a 20 minute drive to CFCC.
There is a local magazine that has an event calendar for young families...Wilmington Parent Magazine - Childcare, Party Planning, Private Schools, Support Groups, Local Business Directory, Event Calendar, Wilmington, NC It is a good resource for finding things to do. Good luck with your move!
