Im planning my long RV trip for the month of April 2012, Ill be spending about a week on the Outer Banks but would also like to take in some interesting things on the mainland coast stretching the entire length of N.C.

I like a good variety of things but especially Classic Car Shows, Museums, Photography, Drag Strip, RV shows, live Debates , outstanding seafood buffets, live music...mostly Christian/soft rock/ mellow contemporary jazz/oldies from the 60-70's ., and water sports. But am open to trying new things too.

Thanks for your help.

If it's reopened (was closed due to tornado damage) you can hook up at Flanners Beach between New Bern and Havelock. It's a good launching pad to explore both New Bern and the areas mentioned above.

If you extend that trip to early May you can check out the the Cherry Point Air Show, which I belive may be the biggest in the south east. I know it's the biggest in NC. A lot of static displays there as well. edit: runs May 5-6
